Classified Ads site now up!

| News | 17 December 2010

Dabawenyo ClassifiedsDabawenyo Classifieds, the partner site of the Dabawenyo Business Directory, is now up & running! The site is online at http://ads.dabawenyo.biz.

In the eyes of advertisers and businessmen, the classified ads site is for selling stuff, for posting ads about for-rent items, and for advertising various services. (The Dabawenyo Business Directory, in contrast, is for long-term business listings of companies and individuals engaged in business.)

And for buyers, or for people looking to hire professionals or rent things, the Dabawenyo Classifieds site aims to be the best classified ads service on the Web. Running on WordPress 3.0 with multi-site capability, Dabawenyo.biz members need to sign up only once and they will be able to use both the Directory and the Classifieds sites. (Not yet a member? Sign up for a free account now.)

Just like its partner site, Dabawenyo Classifieds is limited to the Davao Region, accepting only Davao-based ad listings. This makes it a more focused service, and thus (hopefully!) a more useful buy-sell-rent tool for Davaoeños.

For an overview of how to use the site, please read our User’s Guide. If you have questions or concerns, or if you find a bug, do let us know and we’ll respond to you ASAP.

Please help spread the word! You can tweet this post (via the Twitter button below), and you can “like” the Dabawenyo.biz page on Facebook. :)

  • A tale of two cities 3 November 2012
OK, Siem Reap isn’t really a city — it is a province of Cambodia, which tourists associate with age-old temples and pleasant, soft-spoken locals. Development-wise and viewed as a whole, I’d say the place looks like Davao City in the early ’70s. But that’s about the only “advantage” my city has over this alluring Southeast […]
  • Ban on plastics: how effective? 28 June 2012
Today, the local government unit of Davao has begun imposing the ban on the use of non-biodegradable plastics and polystyrene foams for use as food and beverage containers, as laid out in the Davao City Ecological Solid Waste Management Ordinance of 2009. The City Environmental and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) is now tasked to monitor […]
  • Journalists workshop on environment reporting 12 March 2012
I was fortunate to have been invited to speak at a media workshop last Saturday, 10 March 2012, on environment reporting. Thanks to Mindanao Times editor-in-chief, Amy Cabusao, for the opportunity to engage Mindanao’s media practitioners in the advocacy to protect our marine environment! The workshop, organized by the Mindanao News and Information Cooperativ […]
